Roof repair, floor shimming

This weekend we got the roof repaired!
We had friends and family at the house to help.
We have been praying and asking God to supply the materials for this house. We didn't know how we would repair the hole left from taking the chimney out, figured we would have to get some metal roofing material for it. But we trusted The Lord, and here's what happened, Ron and Linda were here, and they were open to helping us in anyway they could. Ron looked out at the little shack/playhouse in the back and said, "Hey is there any roofing on top of the playhouse?" Sure enough, he climbed up there and removed a nice piece of perfectly matching roofing material just waiting there for us!
Supplied✅
We also cleaned and set up the bedrooms and bathrooms with Linda and Lori.
Lastly, all you Parents can relate, I had some time to look through the boxes of  home school materials I will need next week.

All Done!

The guy that can fix anything! God I love that!

This is the floor shimming process. See how's it Summer?
Oh how these pictures and this season will start to change now!

This is just a dusty dirty picture of the original (1920 perhaps) linoleum flooring that we will leave under the new floor.

This picture reminds me of my Mom, not because she looked all at ease like this lady, but because she liked to be in her garden and she loved Irises. Maybe they could have a picture of a lady who had dirty knees and burnt orange shorts and a tshirt and their hair had flyway's  and was pulled back in a ponytail where you could see the roots. And she had kleenex in her pocket, and stylish tennis shoes that she shouldn't be getting dirty. And you should be out helping her because of all she is trying to do, and because you like being with her, and because she's all excited and thankful to get all that work done.  But then she is also standing in the garden with the irises. Maybe that. 😭

On another note, Travis and I had our 14th Anniversary. His sister was looking up the traditional gift: Ivory

Nick has been wanting a piano after he was inspired playing someone else's.
This one popped up as a hand down from a friend right in time for the Ivory Anniversary.
It lives in the trailer at the campground right now.
