Framing

June 30th, 2020

Here's kinda where were at today. These light colored (new) joists are helping support the darker, smaller (old) ones.
This will continue until the upstairs floor is supported enough for additional remodel down the road.
Then we can do some electrical and Drywall!

Old and new ones together.

Travis' brother and sister helping out!

A finished section; the den ceiling looking heavy duty now

Before picture: Old dark joists with the exposed attic, needs the newer heavy duty joists put in

Here's a picture of the Kitchen with old metal rails that were put in for extra support. The ceiling was sagging a bit in the kitchen.

A picture of Orie and Brian cutting out an old structural beam carefully. This is a tricky spot today, we have temporary supports holding the ceiling while Travis works to get this old support cut out and put in the new beams and joists. Calling all carpenters~we need some help!
