Clean sweep
Last weekend we had so many lovely friends helping us!
We got the whole chimney removed, it came out just like it went in, brick by brick.
Actually, the chimney felt like no big deal! Thank you for your prayers!
In comparison, I should have asked for prayers on the kitchen demo which took days and days and hours and hours over the course of the last few weeks. Orie and Trish, and our friends Katie and Don helped on Saturday getting layers of flooring/plywood/flooring/plywood up off the kitchen floor. And finishing taking off a section of wallboard/plywood/vinyl/shiplap/old insulation on the walls. What was worse was the floor was all nailed in place using nails every 5 inches in strips about 10inches apart. Nail overkill! It made it SO hard to lift and remove the old flooring. Even Elaina helped breaking off nail heads. To which she told me "I love to help, I always want to, that's why I cried when I was a baby, because you didn't let me help!" Somehow I believe that actually might be true in the case for babies. Anyway it took many days to gut the kitchen, Let it not put us behind!
Here are some pictures from Chimney removal day! I was so physically exhausted, Travis and I went to bed super early the next 2 nights recovering.
